These web pages started as a
collection of software which I, Gerd Niephaus,
have written to support short wave listening. As I have developed this
software in my spare time, one should not expect very fancy software with
many gimmicks. But I have tried to supply software which fulfills the main
demands, has very few errors and is easy to install.
Currently there are 4 programs
available: a Ten-Tec RX-320 receiver control program, a broadcast database
program for the ILGRadio database, a link program to the Klingenfuss utility
database and an experimental DSP program.
My second area of interest (as
far as short wave is concerned) is "boat anchors", i.e. old tube based
communications receivers. As I am living in Germany, my main interest is
in German manufacturers of such equipment. At present there are not many
sources for information about German communications receivers; neither
books nor web pages. So together with Wolfgang Thelen I started to collect some information about this
